Investigations

policy
Download

There is no magic formula for conducting an investigation. Just as employee problems and complaints come in all shapes and sizes, the investigation of these matters will also vary. Some investigations may be resolved quickly and discreetly, while others may require broad canvassing of your entire workforce. You will be required to use judgment and discretion regarding which issues to investigate, whom to include in the process, and how to ultimately resolve the situation. One way to ensure consistency and fairness in your investigations is to draft a policy that sets guidelines and provides instruction to everyone involved. These policies, when carefully drafted and consistently followed, reassure employees that their concerns will be heard and addressed in a professional way. Use this Investigations policy template to draft a policy that fits the needs of your organization.
