Closely related to - and often combined with - policies on business ethics and noncompetition is the subject of confidential or classified information. In many companies, it's sufficient to simply include a statement on confidentiality within a broader policy statement on business ethics. However, in some companies, the nature of operations makes confidentiality essential to the company's survival. For these employers, it is important to develop a separate policy statement on confidentiality of information. Use this "Confidentiality of Information" policy template to create a policy that fits the needs of your organization.
