Breastfeeding
Part of an employee’s return to work from maternity leave may also include coordination of work and time necessary to breastfeed or express breast milk for her infant. The practice of breastfeeding has expanded in recent years, and in response, so has federal and state law related to breastfeeding and lactation. In order to encourage employees to take advantage of the many health benefits of breastfeeding, and to comply with the law, employers should draft a written policy on breastfeeding and expressing breast milk in the workplace. Use this "Breastfeeding" policy template to create a policy that fits the needs of your organization.
