Inside the EEOC: Chair Lucas solicits anti-American bias complaints
On September 14, EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas posted a video urging American workers to file national origin discrimination charges as part of the Trump administration’s push against foreign workers. She claimed discrimination against American citizens is a “large-scale problem.” She cited Americans being required to train foreign replacements, being excluded from meetings, or in any way being treated less favorably because of being an American as potential national origin discrimination. This is the latest move to orient civil rights enforcement around the administration’s aggressive moves against companies that hire foreign workers.

The EEOC requested information about employee attendance at mandatory DEI trainings, which a former employee alleged were discriminatory, as well as certain information about complaints related to the trainings and the trainer who conducted them.
