DOL issues overtime rule, Davis-Bacon regulations, new standards for PLAs

In its 2023 Fall Regulatory Agenda, the Department of Labor (DOL) announced it will issue a final overtime rule in April 2024. Once finalized, the new overtime rule will undoubtedly force employers to reexamine their workforces and budgets to determine whether to reclassify employees as nonexempt and assume the expense of overtime pay or increase employees’ salaries to maintain their exempt status.
