Three questions to ask/answer in jobseeking

Executive recruiter Simon Ingari tells us there are certain questions a jobseeker must ask and that a company must be prepared to answer to gauge whether there will be a good and fruitful fit between the candidate and the job. Check him out on X at @Simon_Ingari.

Three questions

Here are Ingari’s three questions and my thoughts:

Question No 1: What are the top three personality attributes required to thrive and do well here?

Artificial intelligence (AI) takes us only so far. We’ll still require managers with effective interpersonal skills. I might change the question to say “communication attributes.” Being able to answer this question shows that a company has really thought about what a job requires.

Question No. 2: How will my performance be evaluated, and what systems are in place to help me meet those expectations?

I believe that what is measured is what gets done. It’s only human nature to be motivated by what one is incentivized to do. So what are you incentivizing?
