Employment-based immigration: With all the challenges, what’s still working well?

The Trump administration continues to try to cut back on legal immigration in whatever ways it can do so unilaterally through regulation, executive order, or proclamation without legislation requiring congressional action. But even so, several areas of U.S. immigration are working just fine. Employers still have opportunities to employ international staff, particularly job candidates who are already working or studying in the United States. Following is an overview of some key immigration programs that still work well for employers right now.
