Reminder: Pregnant Workers Fairness Act takes effect April 1!

When Governor Charlie Baker signed the Massachusetts Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) into law last summer, April seemed very far away. The new law takes effect April 1, so employers need to prepare now to fulfill the statutory requirements. We explained the details of the statute in our October 2017 newsletter (see "Pregnant Workers Fairness Act becomes law in Massachusetts" on pg. 1), but the approaching deadline merits a reminder about the PWFA's key requirements.
